With a simple wish to be seen for who she is, the dandelion becomes a metaphor for those of us who fail to recognize the beauty that resides within each of us. This work will hopefully serve as a reminder on those dreary dark days wracked with self-doubt, low self-esteem and hopelessness that all our broken bits are actually part of a beautiful landscape and that we are enough, just as we are.

Claude "CJ" Johnson, a Chicago native based in Brooklyn, NY, is a dancer, choreographer, and movement director. He studied at The Chicago Academy for the Arts and SUNY Purchase, where he received the Adopt-A-Dancer Scholarship. From 2017 to 2022, he was a full-time company dancer with A.I.M. by Kyle Abraham and was nominated for the Princess Grace Award in 2021.
