Agon/Again Vanessa Paige Dance

Agon/Again is an invocation of Classical Greek tragedy/comedy, in which performers embody the need to speak truth to power. Acknowledging that here we are again, Agon/Again asks “How do we step forward in ways ancient and new?” “How are we defiant?” “Where do we find joy and compassion in a time of shock and fear?”. Rooted in the generous and lyrical tradition of Isadora Duncan, transformed with a sharp edge of protest and love, 16 diverse performers invite us, in the words of WH Auden, to “make a vineyard of the curse”, together. Plus, live music and gift bags for all!
