DANCEBOISSIERE / FLUX

DanceBoissiere, created in 2016, is an all-women-identifying dance company that creates bold dance works. The ensemble amplifies women's stories and showcases them as multi-dimensional and physically powerful. DB is excited to get back into the theatre with “Flux,” an exploration of liberation,  the power of choice, and vulnerability.  

Jenny Boissiere (choreographer) is from New Orleans, LA, and is heavily influenced by brass bands and vibrant Black Creole culture. Her dances draw on American southern line dances and lush movements rooted in jazz and modern dance.   

"Flux" features performers Genna Mattana, Madelyne Clark, Molly Gorin, Jacquelyn Batten, Jessica Robling, Rebecca Hutt, Sara Crayne-Dedrick, and Sarah Hillmon. It also features original music by musician JD Sky!
