Emergent Cycles

Emergent Cycles, a collaboration between Mackenzie Nye(dancer) and Judette Elliston(musician) utilizes sound and movement to capture and honor states of transformation, transition, and vulnerability. The piece is inspired by a vivid dream Judette once believed was a premonition but later understood was a catalyst for transformation. Mackenzie uses the story of Judette’s dream as an improvisational score to guide the tone and temporality of their movement exploration. This is a durational meditation on liminality, a spiritual healing we invite the audience to witness and be a part of.
