GABBY CARMICHAEL is a dance artist determined to reveal herself with a provocative and compassionate voice. She believes that dance is a mode that both facilitates discourse and allows for new forms of care, and she uses her choreographic practice as a place to further imagine, process, and embody. She has been in residence at Leimay, Gibney, The Floor on Atlantic, MOtiVE Brooklyn, The Field Center, and Brooklyn Arts Exchange, and her work has been presented at Movement Research at Judson Church, Triskelion Arts Center, Brooklyn Ballet, Center for Performance Research, Mark Morris Dance Center, and Dixon Place. She currently teaches yoga and works as a fiscal associate with Pentacle. She met Niki studying dance at UMass Amherst and have since become lifelong friends and collaborators.

Actually 2// is a duet between Gabby & Niki that was made for the Arts on Site space. The two have hold a long standing relationship and will cultivate a series of boisterous vignettes in this iteration of movement. The running piece is intended to bring you higher. @gabriellacarmichael
