About the Event
HEATHER DUTTON is a queer and genderfluid dance theater artist. Their work is informed both by their lived experiences and their relationship to play through many creative practices. Calling upon their background in comedy, theater, creative writing, and gender studies, their work creates worlds of logic designed to both include and entertain its audiences. Most recently, they have been considering the constant performance of being a queer person, the power dynamics between performers and viewers, and what queer intimacy looks like in private vs. public. "This is what I'd do if I loved you" was made alongside their long time collaborator, Abigail Linnemeyer, and examines the nuance of queer romance through the lens of sustained fantasy. @featherrbutton
