About the Event
GLASSMASK is a thought-provoking performance script exploring echoism—a condition marked by self-effacement and an aversion to asserting needs. The story follows Shi, a silent figure wearing a reflective, faceless mask, guided by the enigmatic voice. Through movement, Shi confronts the debilitating habits of avoiding self-identity and living solely as a reflection of others. The mask, both a mirror and a barrier, forces Shi to face internal struggles, revealing a journey of self-acceptance. This work delves into themes of identity, vulnerability, and the balance between self and other. @karmel_small
