NOSEDIVE: Yaroque Dance Theatre / Anna Hershinow & Julia Asher

Mishegas is the latest work from Yaroque Dance Theatre and choreographer Shelby Green, examining the contradictions of community: how it can uplift, contain, comfort, and control. Drawing from traditional Jewish dance, Gaga, and American line dancing, the piece moves through humor, theatricality, and emotional vulnerability to explore belonging, conformity, and collective joy.

Last 2 Brain Cells, by Anna Hershinow and Julia Asher, is a duet blending performance art and contemporary dance. Through a shared headpiece, these two mirrored beings invite the audience into a surreal, disorienting world where femininity is reclaimed, exaggerated, and alien. They ask: What does it mean to be watched? To be beautiful? Who are we to each other? Their aim is not to resolve these questions, but to inhabit them unapologetically and viscerally. Are they twins, lovers, sisters, strangers…or your last two brain cells?
