ORI FLOMIN - URBAN CRAWLER 2.0 / ORI LENKINSKI - THE SUIT

What happens when two people with the same obscure name meet? 

ORI FLOMIN and ORI LENKINSKI's paths crossed many times before they actually met. Usually, this entailed

someone who knew them both asking if they knew each other. How could they not? They are both

named Ori. 

While Ori Flomin was born in Israel and immigrated to New York City, Ori Lenkinski spent her formative

years in Brooklyn before relocating to Tel Aviv. 

In 2019, Flomin arrived in Israel to perform at the Suzanne Dellal Center. The two Oris met over donuts,

which are also O shaped, for an article Lenkinski was writing about Flomin’s show and a friendship

formed. 

Last summer, the two took their relationship to the next level- a shared evening at Tmuna Theater in Tel

Aviv. The event was such a success that they decided to bring it to New York City. 

On April 13 and 14, Ori and Ori will present Urban Crawler (Flomin) and The Suit (Lenkinski) at

Manhattan’s Arts on Site. 

 

ABOUT THE WORKS:

Urban Crawler 2.0-

A solo dance performance that explores our complex relationship with progress and innovation. Ori

Flomin, imprisoned in a technological limbo, turns his body on stage into a playful instrument who is

crying out for healing during turbulence times.

The Suit-

On Valentine's Day, 1962, Jackie Kennedy invited television cameras into the White House to what

would become an iconic tour of the extensive renovation she championed. In doing so, she reshaped the

world's image of the First Lady and of ladies altogether. 

Today, armed with a pink suit (not a Chanel), Ori Lenkinski summons Kennedy's energy to take the

audience on a tour of the here and now.

The Suit is a site-adaptable work for stage.
