Diagonal Scenes follows two dancers, caught up in form and other times constructing it. This excerpt showcases the intimate tension between bodies tasked with repetition, timing, and distortion. The diagonal is a location of structure; it acts as a runway, an entity that highlights the consequences of action. We find ourselves at the beginning and end, but the temperature is always the same.
