TAYLOR HOLLINGSWORTH

As a New York-based movement artist, I am interested in a multimodal, non-hierarchical performance practice. My choreographic research has theoretically and philosophically approached various topics ranging from phenomenological embodiment to corporeal feminist conceptions. I am curious how my research can continue to question the boundaries of gender and sexuality and their associated expectations and binaries. I have presented my work through Dixon Place, Greenspace/Dance Entropy, Emerging Artists Theater, WAX Works, Young Choreographer’s Festival, Estia Day Fest, and The NYU Choreography Seminar amongst others. I graduated from Marymount Manhattan College (2017-2021), earning a B.F.A. in Dance Choreography and a B.A. in Social Entrepreneurship. I have performed the works of Peter Chu, Belinda McGuire, Chase Brock, and Nancy Lushington, and have developed choreographic work under the mentorship of Elisabeth Motley and Sidra Bell. @Tayhollingsworth
